Run the platform team supporting every layer of digital technology at Montai: petabyte-scale data engineering, lab automation, quality control, analysis platforms, and agentic AI for decision support. Mentor engineers across the Flagship Pioneering portfolio. Coach senior ICs through architecture decisions, help new leads navigate their first management roles, and connect engineers across portfolio companies to share what worked and what did not. Deployed one of the first production agentic AI systems, built to support scientist decisions rather than replace them. Built raw lab output data processing and QC systems with AI-powered failure recovery guides. Developed Dagster custom executor routers to handle split-second processing in Lambda. Pioneered Magentic, our Agentic AI driven platform that deploys applications using the latest technologies in application development and cloud deployment. Delivered MATRIX, our compute platform that generates chemical and molecular properties at petabyte scale for the teams that train discovery models.

SENIOR RESEARCH PROGRAMMER

Machine learning and AI systems for DARPA, IARPA, and the Office of Naval Research. Cyber defense, anomaly detection, multi-agent coordination. Led the team that developed the Virtual Battlefield Evolution Engine, a real-time gravity simulation that powered vendor-evaluation exercises through API endpoints modeling mission-critical decision scenarios. Led exercises at the National Cyber Range and produced datasets now available through IEEE. Designed, built, and configured a complete server room including HVAC, power, and backup power systems that enabled the company to go after contracts for vendor performance evaluations. Built AI where the mission depended on it.

SENIOR DEVELOPER + NETWORK OPERATIONS MANAGER

A full-service digital marketing agency operating at web-services scale. Eight years building and scaling from zero to massive. Led engineering alongside a 20+ person design team. The same team that designed every client site also built, shipped, and maintained it. Architected redundant hosting infrastructure serving over 12,000 websites and 100,000 email accounts, backed by more than 50,000 database tables across the platform. Led the transition to a modernized LAMP stack and introduced containerized environments, improving deployment efficiency and uptime. Built analytics platforms for sales and customer service to drive data-informed decisions. Developed MySQL compression software that cut storage by 78% while boosting query performance. Ran internal training programs in PHP, JavaScript, and infrastructure troubleshooting that raised the engineering baseline of a team whose formal craft was design. Technology leadership means making everyone around you more effective.

NETWORK CONFIGURATION SPECIALIST

Wired and wireless network infrastructure across hotel chains throughout North America. Scoped and executed on-site installations for new properties, integrating VLAN segmentation and secure guest access systems. Performed detailed site surveys to assess signal coverage and recommend optimized layouts for access points and routers. Diagnosed and resolved complex connectivity and performance issues across both wired and wireless environments. Every guest in every hotel was an end user, and every incident was a visible outage. I learned to build for people first, then for the network.
